With nearly 40 years of marketing experience, including 28 years in legal marketing, Nancy Kostakos is a well-known pioneer and leader in the industry. She builds and shapes high-performing marketing and business development teams and has deep experience in developing differentiated brands and compelling communications as well as utilizing technology and data to develop forward-thinking marketing strategies.

Nancy previously served as chief marketing officer at top law firms Goodwin, Troutman Pepper and Cooley. She also previously served as Director of Marketing for Goodwin and WilmerHale. She has first-hand experience with the evolution of the U.S. legal market from regional to national and global reach and has played a pivotal role in helping firms establish winning strategies in increasingly crowded and competitive markets.

She has experience in a variety of legal marketing issues, having served in crucial roles in two major law firm mergers and led the development and execution of a complete brand refresh at Goodwin. Nancy has supported firm and practice leaders in developing inspiring messages and supporting materials for internal and external audiences, derived from key differentiating datapoints and market intelligence.

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from Harvard College and began her marketing career in the design and architecture industries. She and her husband have three adult children and now split their time between homes in Boston and St. Simons Island, Georgia.
