Builden Partners, a strategic marketing partner to law firms, expanded its senior leadership team with the addition of AmLaw 100 veteran Allen Chichester as Managing Director.

In this role, Chichester serves as a trusted marketing and business development advisor to AmLaw and midsize law firm clients. He also serves as a key member of Builden’s operations team, bolstering the agency’s processes, client service models and service offerings.

Chichester has more than 30 years of experience leading marketing and business development departments at AmLaw 100 firms and beyond. Most recently, Chichester served as Chief Marketing Officer at Barnes & Thornburg. During his tenure, he elevated the firm’s rank among the AmLaw 100 list and created a legal operations department that put the firm at the forefront of pricing and budgeting for clients. Chichester was also previously the CMO for Piper Rudnick, today known as DLA Piper.

Chichester’s arrival comes on the heels of Abby Moriarty joining Builden as the firm’s Director of Marketing & Public Relations in 2022. Abby launched Builden’s PR and Media arm and has elevated Builden’s existing marketing strategy services for law firms. 

In 2020, Chichester was named a Notable Executive in Marketing by Crain’s Chicago Business. He currently serves as Co-Chair for the CMO Special Interest Group for the Legal Marketing Association and as Chair of the board of directors for the Citadel Theater.
